Lionel Beaugé joined Medimaps group in 2020 bringing a strong background in IT, Technologies, Healthcare, Software Development, Process and Methodologies, and Cybersecurity.
With 28 years of experience, Lionel worked in different countries, industries, and domains including medical devices and pharmaceutical companies.
He managed multi-background teams, prepared audits and acceptance of worldwide Civil AFIS systems for governments, performed rollout, trained staff, implemented quality and control process on site, delivered systems, implemented maintenance and support. As a R&D group Manager, or Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Swiss companies, he was in charge of the R&D departments, the Global Technology Operations, the IT infrastructure, the Manufacturing Operations (South-East Asia) and also but not least the innovation with Swiss universities and research centres (EFPL, HEIG-VD and CSEM).
His position has leaded him to coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams in Switzerland and abroad (India, Brazil, Malaysia, Turkey, …), following -v-Cycle, Agile, Scrum, and Harvard Fast-Return-Initiative methods. He was also an anchor man in the business development team.
He worked several years in Medical and Pharmaceutical Industries for Medical Device and Software Development. He brought onto the market worldwide e-Health platforms offering efficient and secure service for the patients and health care professionals. He was also in charge of data integrity program to set into compliance the overall departments.
During all these years, Lionel built a strong experience in product development (software, and also hardware), team management, innovation, system and platform deployment, cloud solutions, cybersecurity and quality improving, risk assessment, problem solving, decision making, and especially in results achievements to meet customers expectations.
Lionel holds a Ph.D. and a Post’Doc in Computer Science (in Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks, CRIN-CNRS/INRIA Lorraine, LORIA INRIA Cortex) applied to image processing, speech recognition, satellite images processing and land use maps.
