Meinhard F. Schmidt is an independent HealthTech executive with more than 25 years of international experience in the Med-/BioTech and Digital Health industries. He started his career at Philips and between 1998 and 2008 he was at Roche Diagnostics where he held various global senior leadership roles in Diabetes Care, Laboratory- and PoC-Diagnostics. From 2008 to 2011 he worked as an executive at Straumann, as CEO responsible for the world-wide “Digitalization” of the dental industry. Since 2011 he is active as Senior Advisor for Start-Ups and Investors; Board Director/Chair in public and private MedTech and Digital Health companies with a focus on HealthTech start-ups (Growth, Commercialisation, Digitalization) MedTech companies in transition towards digitalization, Digital Therapeutics (DTx), Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), Software as a Service (SaaS) businesses. He has held positions in Germany, Netherlands, USA, Canada, UK, Sweden, France, Ireland and Switzerland.
